Tanzanians including executives from various public institutions in the country have commended the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA) for its good work of creating awareness to the public about upstream petroleum operations at the Sixth Tanzania Industrial Products Exhibition taking place at Maisara grounds in Zanzibar.

One of the executives was the Managing Director of the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) Dr. James Mataragio who visited the PURA pavilion today, December 2, 2021 accompanied by staff of the organization.

Dkt. Mataragio applauded PURA for participating in the exhibition and how its experts are committed to ensuring they educate the public about petroleum upstream activities in the country.

Another official who visited the pavilion was the Director of Taxpayer Services and Education of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Richard Kayombo who also commended the Authority for participating in the exhibition whilst acknowledging that he is aware of PURA and its activities.

Some of the issues being expounded on by experts at the pavilion include the participation of locals in the upstream petroleum operations, opportunities available and the best way to seize them and other technical issues.
